EVCF is home to a Kettlebell focused fitness program and competitive (Girvoy) Kettlebell Sport lifting team, led by coach Charlie Molina. EVCF Kettlebell (IKLF affiliated) Club trains and competes in Kettlebell sport lifting where the main focus is endurance weightlifting in the snatch, jerk, or clean & jerk lifts. To aid members in their fitness or competitive goals, programming focuses on technical proficiency in the nuances of lifts as well as sport specific conditioning. Both tracks aid members in developing not only technique and endurance, but also in understanding functional movement and safe lifting practices. The Kettlebell is a simple and effective fitness tool with an easy learning curve for beginners. If you are new to EVCF, wanting to try a new sport, or looking to improve your Crossfit abilities, come check out our Kettlebell Club.

Charlie grew up competing in wrestling throughout high school and college. After graduation the desire to compete did not diminish and he continued with Brazilian Jujitsu and earned his Muay Thai shorts through Fairtex. In 2007 his friend Brian Garmon introduced Crossfit as the fitness program for clients at their work and asked him to assist. Since that time things have not been the same. Charlie has extensive experience working with de-conditioned and special needs populations which has aided him in developing into an attentive and patient coach who thoroughly enjoys helping those under his watch meet their personal goals. Safety, functionality, and then intensity are mottos that he preaches in his 101 classes.
